January
14, 2004
The Futon Critic has sited 'The Ferguson
Syndrome' as one of the best episodes of 2003 in its annual list of the
best 50 episodes of television. 'The 'Ferguson Syndrome' ranked 37 out
of 50 in The 50 Best Episodes of 2003:
"Probably one of, if not the best pilots of the past year, the opener to
Miracles was creepy and scary, but most of all absolutely
riveting to watch. Too bad we didn't get to find out if God really was
'nowhere.'"

Critic, considered one of the best television

attest, popular culture is
fascinated with stories of the paranormal and the unexplained, but do
people really believe? The most recent Gallup Poll on the subject (2001)

the past decade. Overall, the study found that half or more of Americans
believe in psychic or spiritual healing, and extrasensory perception
(ESP), and a third or more believe in such things as haunted houses,
possession by the devil, ghosts, telepathy, extraterrestrial beings
having visited earth, and clairvoyance. What do you believe? Read

Miracles Voted Unluckiest Cancellation by MSNBC Entertainment
December 26, 2003
MSNBC Entertainment's
The Year in Review 2003: The Best and Worst of
2003 TV has named Miracles the "Unluckiest
Cancellation" of a TV series for the year. Miracles debuted on
ABC on January 27, 2003, and was canceled prematurely on April 3, 2003
after only six episodes. The
article
cites ABC's inability to place a show and allow it to grow an audience
as being "typical" for the network. Miracles suffered numerous
preemptions related to the war with Iraq and to ABC's pre-occupation
with its Michael Jackson documentary, leaving a loyal and growing group
of fans to wonder when and if the series would return. Read the
article here:

Word Interpretation Puzzle
December 5, 2003
All Miracles fans are familiar with the
GOD IS NOW HERE/GOD IS NOWHERE puzzle from the pilot episode, "The
Ferguson Syndrome." The idea for this was derived from the concept
of how one might interpret words with no spaces in between.
GODISNOWHERE: what do you see? So, we decided to put the fans
to the test in a game thread to find out how many similar
phrases you can come up with. For example: HEALTHYSELF = HEAL
THYSELF/HEALTHY SELF? It's not as easy as you might think. So,
wrap your mind around this brain teaser -- and it is one -- and post
your word interpretation puzzle phrase here:
